NOTE: You will receive ONE pair at random. It may not be the pair in the photo but they will be a similar style. Feathers can vary slightly from the earrings in the image due to their handmade nature.
The feathers are naturally molted from Macaw parrots in the Amazon Rainforest.
The red seeds on the earrings are grown in the Amazon jungle and Central America. They are used in Rituals and ceremonies since before the Inkan times by the Chachapoyas people. The seeds were also used for amulets, good luck, good wealth and to keep negative energies and entities away.
They are used to banish negative energies and to clear ‘susto’. Susto is when someone feels fear or shock because of strong negative energies and entities. They can protect from the ‘evil eye’ which is thought of as a spell placed on young children, and also used to protect against any envy towards you.
These items are completely handmade by a family of the Shipibo tribe, in the Amazon jungle of Peru. The items they make are always of high quality and completely unique. I am committed to giving more than a fair trade price for each item made. This is a great way for us all to support the indigenous communities of the world whilst providing a way for tribes to hold onto their traditions.
Earrings measure approx 15cm long.
